I Hate Social Studies
The first time I used EFT for a school related issue was with my 15-year-old son.l. He had just received an interim report from school. His mark in Social Studies was dismal. We started to have a discussion on why the mark was so bad and he went on a tirade about how he hated Social Studies. Social Studies is stupid! Nobody should have to take it! It doesn't make any sense it! It has no value and on and on. here." previously used it a number of times for headaches, sore muscles and have had some pretty amazing results in sports. So he was very open to EFT. It wasn't very hard to tell from his body language, tone of voice etc that he was at a 10.
And after a few minutes his voice quieted and he was less upset. I asked him where he was on a scale of 1-10 and he said he was still at a 4. questions. Studies? it. liked. When was the first time you remember taking Social Studies? remember about Grade 6 Social Studies? teacher. Every time I go into Social Studies class I think of that stupid orange Social Studies book we had. now? you hate the teacher? told _______________ that she could never ever play professional basketball. Even though I was so mad that Mrs. _______ told ________ she could never play in the WBA and tried to steal her dream, I totally love an accept myself and forgive Mrs. __________ because she didn't know any better. I asked where he was, now. He answered with, "It's gone! There is nothing left". Coming home from school the next day he said to me immediately when he came in the door, "Dad you never believe how much I learned in Social Studies today! Since then he has told me he has used EFT in school during the middle of a test when his mind would go blank, when he has gotten frustrated with doing a project and even when he gets frustrated with a teacher.
