I was approached by a friend of mine who had an 18 year old daughter with

anorexia and on top of that, was a self mutilator. I was asked if I could help

her? I had no idea if I could be the means to her answer or not.

She had been going to a psychiatrist for over 3 years and was on medications

but nothing was helping.   I asked the young lady what was troubling

her? she didn't want to go into details and I said she didn't have to, just tell

me a high point in her story  and make it into a movie, which was just in

her own mind and give me a number of stress level. It was over the top. I asked

her to  name the movie she was playing in her head. She said "a scary

night." So we tapped on "the scary night" we included all aspects related to the

scary night till she was down to a 0 stress. It took maybe 20 minutes.

It was one of those one minute miracles and I was bowled over by her

delightful reaction. She looked over at her Mom, and said, " WOW! I haven't felt

this good in years." She is no longer cutting herself and no longer an

anorexic.  Of course, she is young and life keeps on happening but she now

has a tool to use..if only she uses it.

Her Mom and I keep in touch.

All I can say, it sure beats 10 years in a psychiatrist's office and all

those drugs.
