How To Be Safe In An Unsafe World: Part 2

As I have already mentioned in the first part of this small article series most of us need security and feel safe. This desire is paramount, drives our actions to be fulfilled at some level. This means in order to feel safe we expect to be in a permanent relationship, a permanent job,  always have enough money and so on. We expect our lives to follow permanent, predicable patterns. This permanence is our security but the actions we take to achieve this "security" do not serve us to grow, develop and be happy.

The universe also has different ideas about security and these "ideas" are throwing a spanner or two in the works for most of us who expect to lead our lives by the old paradigm..So, what does am I talking about here?

Let us take again a look at the big picture for a better understanding of what is going on: The macro picture shows that the energies in the universe are speeding up. This process is also being referred to as a form of ascension process in which we all partake as we shift to a higher level of consciousness. This shift affects everyone, irrespective where they are in their stage of development. It also challenges mental stability and security until we have reached the point of transition to the new consciousness and automatically operate from this new vantage point which resides in the heart space.

In order to navigate this transition smoothly we must learn to harness the faster energies and find ways of coping with the swift changes which are challenging all of us. The  rather erratic weather patterns, volatile stock market conditions, political instability are signs of these  strong and volatile energetic forces. We are experiencing a clash of old versus new paradigm here.

So, whilst this might sound rather scary, particularly if this is the first time you have heard about "the shift", we can use the fast changing energies to our advantage and further our own personal development in the process.

When we evolve to higher levels of consciousness we are also challenged to broaden our view of ourselves and our view of the universe. This process opens up opportunities for us to see inside ourselves and observe mental patterns from a new, higher vantage point. This higher vantage point, or our evolving higher level of consciousness lets us see the deeper levels of our thinking, hitherto hidden from the conscious mind. It also means that we are beginning to see things more from the perspective of others rather then just or own.

Unfortunately until we reach the point that we can automatically be in the new awareness you may be surprised by waking up to internal thought processes you where hitherto unaware of and which are often negative and depressing. Do not worry about this though, because you can change anything, once you are aware of it. After all this is what development is all about: Recognising and eliminating unwanted patterns to produce better results for ourselves and those we care for.

Using EFT to speed up  your evolutionary development

With EFT you literally can work wonders here. To begin with we can use it to speed up our evolutionary process by speeding up the process of deepening awareness. So why would you want to do this? The answer is simple: To create even greater awareness of your own internal thought process and how you react to environmental influences. When you can do this healing at very deep levels can take place.

I am sure you can see that it makes sense to become friends with yourself on the deepest levels. For one you are with you 24 hours a day and you certainly cannot escape from yourself. The more you are in harmony with all of you the better your life will be in direct proportion. You will find it easier to influence other people positively, in fact you will want to help others from an unselfish point of view, simply because it becomes a joy rather then an effort educating others to share your happiness. It is not an effort anymore to teach others or lead by example. It becomes natural.

Peace of mind and success is what we are all after. In fact the future of our existence depends on it. Those of us who are teachers have a duty of care to make sure that we are the best we can be in order to help the next generations evolve to bigger and better levels without experiencing the pitfalls we have experienced on the way of our personal growth. I feel very passionate about this and believe the best way for a better world for all of us is practicing increased awareness.

The power of awareness is such that eventually you will have to stop doing anything that is harmful to you and others, once you recognise it as such. This is an automatic process.

Increasing awareness should be done in stages. First you need to practice becoming the observer of your thoughts and actions. Use MICRO EFT to state the intent. Admittedly becoming the observer of yourself is not as easy as it sounds. It will take some practice, but with MICRO EFT you can  certainly speed up this process. Reinforce your intention to become the observer of "you" several times during the day. After a while being the observer of your actions and thinking will become second nature. This may take a few weeks or longer, if you have never practiced observing your thinking before. I promise you though it is an incredibly worthwhile process and once mastered will give you incredible power and control over your life.

The most difficult part of becoming the observer is staying out of judgement when you observe yourself doing the same stupid things again and again. In the beginning this happens to everyone, when they realise for the first time how they create their own reality.

The EFT set up phrase: " ..I accept myself" is a very useful phrase to help you to remain  non judgemental of yourself and you should use it whenever appropriate. For example you might want to say something like: " Even though I noticed that I always procrastinate  I accept myself anyway, difficult as this may be."...Judgement is one of the main reasons that stops us from moving forward. Judgement stops self awareness in its tracks. So it is important that you practice staying out of judgement, always!

I can hear you say that "this is a tall order, impossible, can't do it, I am angry with myself for not being able to remain calm and unattached..."  etc. If it's any consolation I used to think that too, what's more I was so angry at myself I did not want to stay out of judgement, thus creating yet more problems for myself. Don't fall into that trap. Anger, judgement, and "I can't" will not get you anywhere. In fact they are total energy and time wasters and only move you away from your goal.

Simply make the decision that creating more awareness of how you do things is creating a better future for you over time. Accept that Rome was not built in a day and neither will the perfect new you be created over night. Remind yourself that you are doing this because you want to feel happy and secure and successful. Self improvement always starts from within. You alone are the architect of your life, your security and safety and no one else can give it you. When you have learned to become the observer of your life whilst staying out of judgement you have mastered an essential part of feeling secure, no matter where you are or what your circumstances are.

In the final part we will talk about how our early conditioning is attracting certain environmental factors which affect our mental and physical health and our success as parents, spouses and careers for the rest of your life. You will want to know about this to enable you to change any unsuitable programming in yourself and make sure you do not inadvertently create such handicaps for your children.
