All You Need Is Love (and a little EFT)

This simple statement written by John Lennon and performed by the Beatles was viewed for the first time on international television by 350 million people. Nostalgic Beatles video link.
The song has been sung countless numbers of times by people of all walks of life yet the idea seems hard to grasp.
The work we are doing here at EFT Atlantic is leading me to one conclusion: "All you need is love" or, in EFT language, "I deeply and completely love and accept myself". As we work with more and more people I realize that many of us have a hard time getting those simple words to flow freely from our mouths, minds and hearts. Some of us have been taught from the beginning that it's sinful to love ourselves while others have been told so many times by so many "caregivers" that we aren't as good as we"should" or "could" be that we come away believing we're not loveable or are undeserving of happiness. The message is simple yet powerful and profound. If we TRULY learn to love and accept ourselves we will become healthy and happy people. It is my experience that hate, fear, resentment, anger, jealousy, revenge, depression, sadness and other negative emotions vibrate at a lower frequency and with less organization than does love and happiness. If this is true then none of those negative emotions can live in the higher vibrations that love generates. If you turn your feelings just a little toward love or happiness those sad, angry and hurtful feelings will begin to vibrate at a higher frequency and you will feel better. If you can feel a little better at any given moment just by paying attention to how much you love yourself then why can't you repeat the process and move up the positive emotional scale and away from all the pain and suffering. I suggest it's that easy. There is a catch, however; you actually have to do it and keep on doing it. Changing a habit is not easy but I'll give you a little exercise to try out for 21 days and you tell me how it feels at the end of it. Every morning before you start your day, go to the mirror, look yourself in the eyes and, tapping on your karate chop point (the soft spot on the side of either hand below the pinky finger), repeat the following phrase 3 times: "Even though I am not perfectly happy yet I deeply and completely love, accept and appreciate myself". That's it. It takes less than 20 seconds. Remember! All you need is love (and a little EFT)! al
