About Us:
Having been an educator for all of my adult life, I've had the opportunity to work with in the form of teaching and counseling the entire spectrum of students being served by the public school system and their parents. I actually started teaching in a Catholic school in Philadelphia when I was 17. Having 78 second graders was a great deal of fun for me, but also a tremendous amount of work. It was there, though, that I knew I wanted to help students who had learning difficulties. I completed my education as a Special Education teacher and taught Neuroligically and Perceptually Impaired 7th and 8th graders along with students classified as Socially Maladjusted and Emotionally Disturbed. Believe me, teaching the 78 second graders was starting to look like a piece of cake. If only EFT had been around at that time. I can't help wonder what miracles it could have performed and how much easier my job and their lives would have been. Most of those students would now be classified as Learning Disabled with ADD or ADHD. After 7 years of teaching that grouping of students, I decided to teach the Gifted and Talented. That is a dream come true for any educator but also a great deal of preparation in order give them the kind of work that was not only advanced, but also enriched. It was extremely rewarding, but I was still stuck on those with learning problems; so it was back to school for a Master's and certifications as School Counselor, Guidiance Director, Supervisor and Principal. I was searching for a way to reach the most students who were in need of the most help. As a Counselor I worked closely with the Child Study Team, teachers, and parents. School Counselors who work in Middle Schools spend much of their time on Crisis situations. EFT again would have been a God-send. Fortunately, I did start learning it towards the end of my employment in the school system and I found it to be a magic wand. Something really wonderful was happening and kids and parents were able to get the help they needed and at sonic speed. I began my EFT practice 4 years ago and continue to be amazed at the progress that can be made with it when addressing ADD, ADHD, learning blocks, limiting beliefs about learning and ability, self-esteem issues (The Biggie), traumatic patterns, pain, physical symptoms, anxiety and phobias, and just about anything really. AND THAT'S JUST THE PARENTS! (adults have ADD, too!) I have seen tremendous changes using EFT and Brain Gym with these clients. I also offer Parenting Skills, anger management counseling, Love Yourself Workshops,and others that are listed on my website. I am deeply disturbed regarding the recent statistics concerning suicides among those 10 to 19. The numbers are way up for girls. EFT can be used for any body image or esteem issue at cause. Today's kids' Spirits are being overlooked and destroyed as the adults around them are test-score obssessed. We must Pay Attention!! They're dying for us to notice!
